Biography

Dr. Hideki Suganami is the Director of Clinical Analysis at Kowa Company Ltd. and a lecturer at the Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, Division of Biostatistics. His expertise includes Biostatistics and Clinical Data Management in therapeutic development. His professional interests are focused on efficiency in quality management and quality assurance of clinical trials as well as the implementation of a quality management systems in pharmaceutical companies. He is a member of DIA and the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), where he served as an expert of E9R1 and topic leader of E20. He serves as a council member of the Biometric Society of Japan, as Vice-Chairperson, Data Science Expert Committee of the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, and as a member of the publication committee of SCDM. He has contributed over thirty-five papers to the biostatistical and therapeutic development literature. Dr. Suganami holds a PhD from Tokyo University of Science, Graduate school of Engineering. He also trained at the Kyushu Institute of Technology, earning his BSc in the Department of Information Engineering and his MSc in the Graduate school of Information Engineering.
