Biography


Dr Lauren Houston is a Research Fellow at The George Institute for Global Health and is a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia. Her research interests include large scale clinical trials in chronic disease prevention and treatment, data monitoring procedures and data quality in clinical trials. She joined the JSCDM Editorial Board in 2022 and reviews for several other journals. Dr Houston has served as an author on the European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (ECRIN) Requirements for Certification of Data Centres in 2018. She completed her PhD in the field of Clinical Research Informatics and Health Science in 2021 from the University of Wollongong, Australian. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science (Nutrition)(Honours) in 2015 and a Graduate Certificate of Business in 2021, both from the University of Wollongong, Australian.
