Biography
Dr. Rick Ittenbach is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. His research interests include measure and scale development, mixed methods designs, clinical data management and empirical bioethics. Rick has authored or co-authored more than 130 peer-reviewed publications in the behavioral and biomedical sciences. He has been funded as a co-investigator and biostatistician on multiple National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) grants. He currently serves on the editorial board of three journals and reviews for several others. Dr. Ittenbach has been an active member of SCDM since 2008. He has chaired the poster session of the annual conference since its inception at the 2014 annual meeting.
Dr. Ittenbach holds a PhD in Education/School Psychology from the University of Alabama with a minor in statistics. He holds a Master of Health Science in Biostatics from Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Education from Auburn University. Dr. Ittenbach is a certified professional statistician (PStat) through the American Statistical Association and remains active in the American Statistical Association’s Section on Statistical Consulting.
